Langholm Initiative
Formed in 1994, The Langholm Initiative is the driving force behind numerous schemes, events and improvements to benefit the town’s business, social and physical environment.
It is responsible for the creation of the Langholm and Eskdale Music & Arts Festival, Bonnie Langholm, Langholm Walks Group, The Moorland Project and Prehistoric Trail, to name but a few.

The Langholm Walks Group
'See castle ruins…soak up a wealth of heritage and traditions'
Explore the natural beauty of the area with 14 waymarked walks in and around the town and beautiful surrounding countryside.
The Langholm Walks Group have created a wonderful variety of different walks to suit all abilities, from gentle strolls through woodland and along riverbanks to scrambles across open moorland and strenuous clambers up hill tops. Walks range in length from 5.5 to 9.5 miles.
